Sanjeev Pooni Msc(Biotech)
Managing Director
Sanjeev graduated from the University of East Anglia with a Masters in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 17 years holding senior positions in sales, commercial and marketing within the secondary care and surgical markets.
He has had considerable success in launching new products into specialist markets within hospitals as well as working in Pan-European teams developing sales and marketing strategies for the UK.
Over the last 10 years he worked in very specialised markets developing considerable expertise and knowledge in sales and marketing in the therapeutic areas of:-- Anti-Infective
- Cardiology
- Interventional Cardiology
- Gynaecology
- Hepato-Bilary & Pancreatic Surgery
- Pain
He has been instrumental in establishing new start up companies in niche pharma markets within the UK and Republic of Ireland .
In 2004, Sanjeev helped establish Nycomed UK, a privately owned Pan European pharmaceutical company with a current turnover of £1Billion. Nycomed
in-licensed novel compounds within the hospital environment for the European markets from US and Japanese companies.
As Head of Sales (UK & Eire), he worked closely on the strategic planning and market mapping of key products. Additionally, he was responsible for setting up the organisational structures and developing key sales, commercial and marketing strategies.

Neil Edwards
Managing Director, Sirius Regulatory Consulting Ltd
Sirius Regulatory Consulting Ltd is a progressive Regulatory Affairs consultancy that works with the global pharmaceutical industry to achieve drug development and regulatory approval in the EU.
With over 18 years experience in European Regulatory Affairs, Neil is well placed to assist client companies with all Regulatory Affairs needs, including:
- Drug development and regulatory strategy.
- Conduct of consultation and negotiation meetings with EMEA and national EU regulatory authorities.
- Regulatory due diligence to facilitate effective in-licensing and partnering agreements.
- Regulatory dossier compilation and submission management (Clinical Trial Approval, Marketing Authorisation including eCTD, Orphan Drug Application and Paediatric Investigation Plan)
- Interim management and the establishment of high performing Regulatory Affairs departments.
- In-house training.
Areas of specific therapeutic expertise include cardiovascular, oncology, gastrointestinal, anti-infective and respiratory diseases, plus OTC medicines. In addition, Neil has extensive experience in working with non-EU focused companies to optimally adapt their drug development and regulatory strategies to address EU regulatory expectations.
Neil’s previous roles include European Regulatory Affairs Manager with Bayer Pharma Europe, Director Drug Development Consulting at PAREXEL International and Director Regulatory Affairs Altana Pharma/ Nycomed AG.
Christian M. Hofbauer
Christian started his career within the Norwegian coast artillery officer school. After 3 years in the military he spent 4 years at Oslo Business School graduating with a Masters in Business & Marketing and 1 year at Stirling University taking a Masters degree in Management Studies. Christian has spent several years studying Gestalt psychology and holds a NLP Master certification.
He has held senior positions in Sales and Marketing for companies such as Ernst & Young and Carat Media.
